Through techniques of sewing, quilting and slip casting, my work investigates the shared material properties of clay and fabric. This process involves hand sewing a fabric object to be used as a positive for plaster molds. Each piece is then slip casted, allowing the plush, delicate qualities of the quilted surface to be captured in clay.
