Over the course of 3.5 hours, participants will explore both hand-building and an introduction to the potter’s wheel, giving everyone the opportunity to experience two essential ceramic techniques.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt the beginning of the workshop, the group will be divided into two smaller groups. Halfway through the session, participants will rotate to the other instructor and technique.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNo prior experience is required. This approach allows for creativity and freedom while working directly with clay.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach participant will create one ceramic piece that will later be glazed and fired by the studio.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-section-id=\"1nfsqv1\" data-start=\"1549\" data-end=\"1575\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eWheel Throwing Session\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis session introduces the basics of wheel throwing on the potter’s wheel.\u003cbr\u003eBecause wheel throwing normally takes several classes to master, this experience focuses on learning the basic movements such as centering the clay and pulling up simple forms.
