Many kids enjoy making with clay — but glazing is where pieces truly come to life.
This 4-session program focuses on colour, surface, and artistic expression. All ceramic forms are pre-made and prepared by CIRCA, allowing students to fully concentrate on glazing techniques and creative exploration.
Each session introduces a new artist through a short, engaging story. Students explore how the artist used colour, pattern, and emotion in their work, then apply those ideas directly onto their own ceramic piece.
Across the program, students complete four individual works, each inspired by a different artist.
Artists We Explore Yayoi Kusama – repetition, dots Pablo Picasso – abstract faces, line Frida Kahlo – storytelling, symbolism Andy Warhol – bold colour, repetition David Hockney – colour and composition
